A Portrait of Self-Love
Unlike many of my arrangements, A PortraitSelf-Love embraces a more traditional floral language. Created as a bouquet for myself, it serves as a quiet act of care and recognition. While much of my work explores structure, experimentation, and spatial composition, this piece returns to the familiar gesture of giving flowers; not to celebrate an occasion, but to acknowledge my own growth, resilience, and joy.
02
Passing By
Inspired by the grasses and weeds that line the roadside, Passing By reflects on the landscapes we move through without noticing. Delicate and temporary, the arrangement draws attention to plants that often exist at the edge of our awareness. What is frequently dismissed as background becomes the subject itself, inviting a closer look at the quiet beauty found in ordinary places. Through its ephemeral form, the piece considers observation, transience, and the overlooked ecologies encountered in passing.
03
Dandelion Butter
Created in response to the perfume Dandelion Butter, this arrangement reimagines the spatial experience of a dandelion field through shifts in scale. What is typically held in the hand becomes expansive, enveloping, and atmospheric. Drawing from the perfume's evocation of sun-warmed greens and childhood memory, the piece invites viewers into a landscape where the ordinary is transformed into something vast and dreamlike.
04
Something Blue
Something Blue is a series of cyanotype prints exploring floral composition through the medium of paper. Flowers are arranged directly onto light-sensitive surfaces, transforming ephemeral bouquets into lasting impressions. Hand-drawn swirls and patterns weave through the compositions, introducing gestures of memory, ornament, and play. Together, these elements blur the boundary between arrangement and image, considering how flowers can be experienced not only in space, but also through mark-making, shadow, and light.
05
Memorial to Youth
A remembrance of my childhood dog and the world we shared together. Inspired by long days outdoors and the warmth of fading light, this arrangement reflects on youth as a place carried within memory. An arrangement filled with wonder, companionship, and moments that linger long after they have passed.
