Biography

I grew up in rural Virginia, where nature was always close at hand. It was where I went to think, explore, and feel grounded, and it continues to influence how I move through the world.

My background is in museum exhibition design, and I now work in landscape architecture. Both have shaped the way I approach flowers, as a way of creating atmosphere and meaning. I often think of nature as the original exhibition.

Through Lady Slipper Studio, I use floristry to bring those experiences into spaces for gathering, celebration, and ritual.

Statement

My Vow to Nature

IMG_20230531_171118_445.jpg

I vow to remain a student of the natural world; to observe closely, gather thoughtfully, and create with reverence. I vow to recognize flowers not as commodities, but as living gifts shaped by season, place, and time. And I vow to use my work to foster wonder, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the landscapes that sustain us.
